Simply Web Services is currently using servers with the following specs:
- AMD Ryzen 7 5700G – 16 cores
- 64 GB RAM
- 2x 1TB NVMe
- 1x 2TB NVMe (backups)
- 5 IPv4
- /64 IPv6
- 100TB @ 1 Gbps Bandwidth
Our servers are backed up nightly using a combination of tape and “live” redundant drives. In the event of a power outage, our servers are configured to automatically switch to a backup UPS. After a set time, generators take over, powering the entire operation as long as needed. Not only can we rely on the professional staff at the NOC to assist with managing our servers and any networking issues that arise, but our on-staff webmaster and network administrator are local and have over 20 years of experience designing websites and managing UNIX and NT enterprise networks and web servers. We cannot guarantee our servers will never be down, as that is not a realistic goal. Every piece of computer and network equipment will need to be upgraded, repaired, and/or rebooted from time to time. No amount of redundancy can ever ensure 100% uptime. We do, however, do everything we can to maintain a 99.5% uptime.
