Subdomains allow you to host a separate webpage under your domain, such as sales.yourdomain.com. This will allow you to have your main website under yourdomain.com, but when visitors go to sales.yourdomain.com, they will see a different site. Subdomains pull from (or share) the same disk and bandwidth quota on your main account.
