We offer both secure and non-secure methods of connecting to our email server. The secure method protects your password from being intercepted (by using a SSL certificate)
Secure Method
- Open Outlook 2016 from your Launchpad
- Tap on Add Account
- Click on Other Email
- Enter in account information
- Email Address: Your email accounts username (user@domain.com)
- Password: Your email accounts password
- User Name: Enter your email address again
- Type: Click the drop-down menu and select IMAP or POP
- Mail Servers: dixie.simplywebservices.net (this is our secure email server)
- SSL: Check the Use SSL to Connect boxes for the Incoming Server and Outgoing Server
- Click Add Account
INCOMING MAIL SERVER:

- Check My outgoing (SMTP) server requires authentication

POP3 downloads the email from a server to a single computer, then deletes the email from the server. On the other hand, IMAP stores the message on a server and synchronizes the message across multiple devices.
Our servers do not support using the secure method and using your domain name, you must use dixie.simplywebservices.net
