We offer both secure and non-secure methods of connecting to our email server. The secure method protects your password from being intercepted (by using a SSL certificate)
Secure Method
- OpenOutlook 2016from your Launchpad
- Tap onAdd Account
- Click onOther Email
- Enter in account information
- Email Address:Your email accounts username (user@domain.com)
- Password:Your email accounts password
- User Name: Enter your email address again
- Type: Click the drop-down menu and selectIMAPorPOP
- Mail Servers:dixie.simplywebservices.net (this is our secure email server)
- SSL: Check the Use SSL to Connectboxes for the Incoming Server and Outgoing Server
- ClickAdd Account
INCOMING MAIL SERVER:
- Mail Servers: dixie.simplywebservices.net (this is our secure email server)
- Port:IMAP = 993 / POP3 = 995
OUTGOING MAIL SERVER:
- Mail Servers: dixie.simplywebservices.net (this is our secure email server)
- SMTP Port: 465
- CheckMy outgoing (SMTP) server requires authentication
Unsecure Method

OUTGOING MAIL SERVER:
- Mail Servers: mail.domain.com
- SMTP Port: 25 or 587
- CheckMy outgoing (SMTP) server requires authentication
POP3 downloads the email from a server to a single computer, then deletes the email from the server. On the other hand, IMAP stores the message on a server and synchronizes the message across multiple devices.
Our servers do not support using the secure method and using your domain name, you must use dixie.simplywebservices.net
