How to Use Webmail in DirectAdmin (Roundcube) #
Webmail lets you check and send email for any account on your domain directly from a web browser — no email client setup required. DirectAdmin uses Roundcube as its default webmail client.
How to Access Webmail #
There are two ways to log in:
Option 1: Direct URL
- Go to ‘https://yourdomain.com/webmail’
- Enter your full email address and password.
- Click Login.
Option 2: One-Click Access from DirectAdmin
- Log in to your DirectAdmin control panel by accessing https://yourdomain:2222
- Go to E-Mail Accounts (under E-mail Manager).
- Find the account you want to access and click Webmail in the Login column — this opens Roundcube without needing to re-enter your password.
Don’t have an email account yet? See how to create a POP email account first.
Using Roundcube #
Once logged in, Roundcube gives you a familiar inbox layout:
- Compose — write and send a new message (top left button).
- Folders — Inbox, Sent, Drafts, Trash, and any custom folders appear in the left sidebar.
- Contacts — save frequent senders/recipients for quick access.
- Settings (gear icon) — customize your display name, signature, vacation auto-reply, and filters directly from the browser.
Webmail vs. an Email Client #
Webmail is ideal when you need to check email from any device without installing anything, or when troubleshooting delivery issues (since it connects directly to your mailbox with no client-side settings to misconfigure). If you’d rather use a dedicated email app instead, see our setup guides for Outlook, Thunderbird, Apple Mail (Mac), iPhone Mail, and Android email apps.
