Get FTP Details from DirectAdmin #
- Log in to your DirectAdmin control panel by accessing https://yourdomain:2222
- Go to Account Manager and click on FTP Management.
- Use the main default system user account shown, or click Create FTP Account to set up a new username and password.
- Note your server Host (your server IP or domain name) and your exact FTP Username (for sub-accounts, remember it includes the domain suffix, like user@domain.com)
Then use an app like FileZilla to connect #
- Open your FTP program and open the Site Manager (or Quickconnect bar).
- Enter the following connection parameters:
- Host: Your server’s IP address or domain name.
- Username: Your DirectAdmin FTP username.
useroruser@domain.com). - Password: Your FTP account password.
- Port:
21(default for standard FTP).
- Click Connect and accept any security certificate prompts if they appear.
