Email headers can be important when tracking and tracing an email, your ISP or web host may ask for them from time to time.
Gmail
- In Gmail, open ‘original‘ email
- Click for the menu button (down arrow next to the Reply button)
- Choose Show original
Mail for macOS
- From the View menu
- Select Message
- Select All Headers or Long Headers
Outlook 2016 (for Mac)
- Right-click (or ctrl-click) the message (do not actually open the message)
- Select View Source
Outlook (for Windows)
- Right-click on the email message
- Select Properties
- Click Details
- Select Message Source
RoundCube
- Log in to RoundCube Webmail
- Open the email message
- Click on the More option, then select the Show Source icon
SquirrelMail
- Log in to SquirrelMail Webmail
- Open the email message
- Click the View Full Header link under the options section
Thunderbird
- Open the email message
- In the Menu, select View
- Select Message Source
