Lake Anna Winery
Lake Anna Winery is a small boutique winery located in Spotsylvania, Virginia, that specializes in producing award-winning wines! Lake Anna Winery was founded in 1989 when the founder and owner, Bill Heidig, was in France on business. Lake Anna Winery sits on a 75-acre estate and boasts scenic pastoral views. It produces a variety of award-winning wines and offers self-guided tours, a tasting room, live music, festivals, and other special events.
Project Overview
We were contacted by Lake Anna Winery to fix major problems with their then-current website. Once we had those bugs worked out and resolved, they wanted us to redesign their website and incorporate the fixes and a handful of new features into a modern design.
Challenges
This project was a little more difficult than most others, as we had to work around some difficult FedEx shipping requirements and restrictions, due to the nature of the product they manufacture and sell.

Conclusion
We designed the new website with a slick, modern look and feel, and enhanced e-commerce capabilities to include the ability to print shipping labels on the back end. We also implemented a Wine Club at the client’s request, allowing visitors to sign up for quarterly wine shipments from the winery.
