JHD Road and Battery (2010-2016)
Web Design – Then vs. Now
This Project Predates WordPress and Modern Frameworks
JHD Road and Battery is a mobile roadside emergency service company based in Manassas, Virginia. They offer 24-hour, 7-day-a-week roadside service for all makes and models of vehicles. JHD serves Northern Virginia, including Prince William, North Stafford, Manassas, Woodbridge, Bristow, Haymarket, Fairfax Station & Clifton, Virginia
Jim contacted us in 2010 to design and develop his first website for his business. Though JHD had been in business since 1994, this was his first website.
In 2016, Jim went with one of the local phone book companies to have his next website built for him.

Anytime Limousine LLC (2009-2019)
Anytime Limousines prided itself on excellent service along with proper etiquette. They serviced all of Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, D.C., providing ground transportation services. They were licensed and bonded with the State of Virginia.
Kenny contacted Simply Web Services in 2009 to modernize his website for his upscale limousine company. We rolled up our sleeves and dove headfirst into content management with a fresh, unique design. His previous website could not keep up with the growth that the company had experienced. This meant we had to design something not only visually appealing, but also easy to update. This was a large project with several different versions of the website over the years. The first version was HTML, and the subsequent versions were all designed in WordPress.
In addition to web design services, we also provided SEO, print, marketing, photography, advertising, and QR Codes for Anytime Limousine.
We worked closely with Anytime Limousine until Kenny sold the company in 2019, and the new owner went with the webmaster who was managing their other websites.

Kelly Auto Group (2013-2014)
Kelly Auto Group was an international automobile reseller based in Ghana. Edward contacted us in 2013 to develop a WordPress-based website that allowed them to sell both new and used automobiles, as well as a vector-based corporate logo for the new company.
We worked with the client to lay out the website functionality, including allowing users to upload their own vehicle and pay a small fee.
This project required a large amount of PHP coding, creating several new plugins to meet the strict requirements that the client set for this project.
The client disappeared before taking final delivery of the website.

Pick a Part South LLC (2011-2016)
Pick-A-Part was a Spotsylvania- and Stafford-based automobile parts (junk yard) that had two locations. They had over 6,000 vehicles in their inventory. The website needed to help visitors search for parts and find the correct location so they could pull the part themselves from the donor vehicle.
David contacted Simply Web Services in 2011 to redesign his outdated website and integrate a search feature for his used-parts inventory database across both locations.

Trolley Tours of Fredericksburg (2003-2015)
Web Design – Then vs. Now
This Project Predates WordPress and Modern Frameworks
Embark on a guided journey through the Historic District and Fredericksburg, Virginia, Battlefield! Dive into the city’s rich colonial, Civil War, and civil rights history. Along the way, notice charming shops, historic eateries, and countless hidden treasures!
Butch contacted Simply Web Services in 2003 to take over daily management of, redesign, and manage the Trolley Tours website.
One of the biggest challenges we faced was the lack of good-quality photos to use on the website. Butch and Mark had very differing ideas on what the website should look like. We also had to integrate Zerve, a marketplace for booking local tours and activities, which allowed customers to book tours and pay with a credit card online.
We spent several days jumping off and on the trolley to get photos of the trolley in and around the historic sites of Fredericksburg, along with some photos of the historic sites. We then used those photos on the new website that we had designed. Those were some exhausting spring days.
When Butch passed away in 2009, we managed the website for a few more years until new management wanted to go in a different direction and use someone they knew to design a new site.
