# How to change your password in DirectAdmin

From time to time, it’s a good idea to change your DirectAdmin password. DirectAdmin also offers the option to add Security Questions and enable [Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)](https://www.uschamber.com/co/run/technology/two-factor-authentication) using the [Google Authenticator App](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Google_Authenticator) ([Google Play](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.apps.authenticator2&hl=en_US)) ([Apple Store](https://apps.apple.com/us/app/google-authenticator/id388497605)).

## **How to change your DirectAdmin account password:**

1. [Log in to your DirectAdmin](https://simplywebservices.net/docs/how-to-log-into-the-directadmin-control-panel/) control panel by accessing https://yourdomain:2222
2. In the upper right corner, click on your Username
3. Click on **Profile**
4. Enter your current DirectAdmin password, then enter the new password.
5. Click the **Submit** button.

### Setting Up 2FA or Security Questions
