# Do you backup your servers?

# Do you back up your servers?

Yes — every single day, 52 weeks a year. Your data is protected by automatic daily server backups, in addition to any backups you make yourself.

## How This Works With Your Own Backups

Our automatic backups are a safety net at the server level — but we still recommend also creating your own periodic backups through DirectAdmin, especially before making major changes to your site. See [how to backup your website in DirectAdmin](https://simplywebservices.net/docs/how-to-backup-your-website-in-directadmin/) to create and download your own copy anytime.

Need to restore from a recent backup, or have questions about backup retention? [Contact us](https://simplywebservices.net/contact-us/), and we'll help.
